About me

So - who is this maniac who is willing to use 3000+ hours of his spare time, and lots of $$$ to build a fragile little plane all by himself? And not to mention - who is willing to
get into it and actually fly it?!?

Well - My name is Erlend Moen. I was born in 1965, have a lovely wife, 5 kids and a dog. We live in the western part of Norway (see the familys homepage for details -
sorry, it's only in Norwegian). Of profession I am a computer engineer, working as a software-programmer.

I have always been facinated by airplanes and flying, and have been a more or less active modelplane-builder and -pilot since I was a teenager. I enjoy building, the
largest plane I have in my hangar pr. now is a Cessna 182 Skylane - 240cm wingspan (95") - powered by a 30ccm engine (1.80 cu.inch). When it comes to flying the
modelplanes I enjoy most the scale-part. I'm no racer but I love to fly so scale-like as possible. I enjoy building as I said, especially finding solutions and improvements to
make the plane better and safer.

I have done much thinking when it comes to the process of building the Cozy. I have disussed it thorougly with my wife and she is also interested to participate in the
building. That makes me happy! To share this project with the one that hopefully will be seated in the right seat with me, gives the building another dimension. Already -
before I have even started - I can share my thoughts and findings with her knowing that she understands what I am talking about (most of it...).

I have spent quite some time reading and asking questions in the different canard-forums on the internet. Hopefully I can contribute to other builders in a while. If you
want to discuss something, just send me an e-mail! If you want to come over and look at the project, you're welcome! I hope I can take my family over to USA to visit
some of the Canard-events over there, Oshkosh, Rough River or Sun'n'Fun. That would be great!
